All the buzz.

Our delicate bee-themed Honeycomb Quilt collection was the first quilting product we released at Anita Goodesign done entirely with hexagon-shaped quilt blocks.

I drew all the artwork by hand and colored in Photoshop, carefully choosing a color palette to keep the designs delicate and simple for a vintage-inspired quaint look.

Patterns and Layouts.

I developed different quilt block styles and patterns to showcase a variety of fabric prints and allow customers to mix and match blocks to create beautifully interesting layouts.

By putting together a variety of quilt layouts to test different ways the patterns could be used together, I was able to give the rest of our team points of reference to create stitched samples.

Inside Look: Honeycomb Quilt

This video by Anita Goodesign is from a series called Inside Look. In this short episode, I describe the process we go through to come with collection ideas and how they get delegated to different artists to develop the original artwork for our collections.

The Honeycomb Quilt collection artwork was used as case-study for this series. You can watch the rest of the series and see the completion of the quilting collection on YouTube.
